Panels Welded to Header Pipe
Built for harsh Australian climate conditions and resistance to cockatoos, the Rhino Platinum Rigid Solar Panels are welded to a solid 1.07m extruded header pipe with a robust 5mm wall thickness, ensuring longevity in the system.
Rhino Rigid Roof Mounts
A strapless mounting system allows for panel expansion and contraction with minimal roof penetrations. Boss provides solutions for systems in cyclone-prone regions, such as aluminum profiles designed to spread the screw fixing to the roof over a greater distance.
End Cap
Rhino End Caps are installed at opposing ends of the Rhino System to seal the header pipes. They are connected to the panels using Ring Clamp Assemblies.
Multilayered Rigid Collector
The large 8mm ID round tube + web design boosts heat capture without allowing heat to escape between the tubes. The large 8mm tubes increases water flow and reduces back-pressure, enhancing energy absorption and heating efficiency.
Webs maximise heat gain even on windy days whilst allows tubes to expand and contract independently. No tie-down straps are needed even for exposed windy locations.
Rhino Panel Clips and Sleds
Rhino Rigid Panels are installed with minimal gap, ensuring maximum heating efficiency and value for your investment.
The Clips and Sleds also help prevent panel distortion and tube abrasion from thermal expansion, adding strength to the unit as well as allowing panels to “float” above the roof, keeping it clean and dry. Additionally, they maintain the alignment of individual collector strips for efficient operation and a neat appearance.
Tile Roof Bracket Mounting
The tile roof bracket mounting system allows for drill free mounting to tiled roofs. These are secured around two roof battens to provide greater security in high wind regions.
Flexible Coupling Assembly
Designed to bend and flex, the Rhino Flexible Coupling absorbs the differing thermal expansion and contraction rates of the PVC pipework and the Rhino panels, without placing undue stress on the connecting components, maximising the longevity of your system.
Leak-Proof Assurance
Rhino Rigid’s Ring Clamp helps secure header pipes together and along with a Rubber Seal O-Ring Design guarantees leak proof connections for the life of the system.

Rhino platinum rigid panel system with heat pumps hybrid
Olympic, Commercial Indoor & Outdoor Swimming centre in Victoria’s south west
An aquatic centre recently upgraded its pool heating system as part of a broader facility rejuvenation and sustainability strategy. The project combined solar thermal heating for the large commercial outdoor pool with high efficiency electric heat pumps for the indoor aquatic areas. This hybrid solution was chosen to reduce energy costs, enable reliable year round operation, and support council targets (Net Zero by 2040.)
The onboarding process involved detailed planning to ensure effective pool coverage and system performance. Sophisticated mapping tools were used to assess layout, orientation and available roof space, helping to optimise solar gain and efficiency. Reputable local installers with commercial pool heating experience were engaged to ensure the system was also delivered to a high standard.
All Boss’ major systems are Australian made, supporting the local council criteria and offering strong warranty support. The solar system was selected for its long term cost savings and environmental benefits, while the heat pump system delivered efficient performance for the indoor pools. Developed through remote assessment and finalised by council and site inspection, this project shows how aquatic facilities can achieve sustainable, future ready operations with minimal disruption.
